The Story
|
Described as the hardest working band in Belize, Griga Boyz are certainly one of the hottest young groups to come out of the Dangriga Punta Rock scene in many years.
With a full tilt stage presence and their up tempo, fiery sound, Griga Boyz can be heard from one end of the country to the other, and have a loyal following of fans from the interior to the offshore Cayes.
Growing up in Dangriga, the band members quickly progressed from playing covers and interpretations of Punta Rock anthems to creating their own compositions based on traditional Garifuna beats but with a modern pop twist.
Their landmark album, Crazy Fi We, recorded in collaboration with Punta Rock star Aziatic, was a turning in their musical career, launching them into national limelight and giving them the confidence to further develop the Griga Boyz style.
As they, and their music matures, the Griga Boyz continue to set the pace for other young, up and coming Punta Rock bands.
Crazy Fi We will make fans shake their hips like nothing they have heard before. It includes 13 new up-tempo songs that are made for the dance floor.
